It's a Crowned Crane. ^-^ Lovely birds, vicious tempers half the time. ^-^ My grandfather used to have a pair when I was younger.

It's an African Crowned Crane. They used to be plentiful, but then one civil war too many and their numbers dropped drastically as refugees started hunting them for food because there was no food.

I can't believe they pinioned him!!!! That pisses me off so much.
