Last night I got home from attending Utah's 2009 Gay Pride Festival!
Saturday I went to the Dyke/Pride march with Gustov, Tomo, Ashke, and Jade in Salt Lake City. We marched and cheered and danced!
It was overcast and a nice temperature for wandering about. After that we walked around Memory Grove park for a bit and went to check into our hotel room... I haggled the room for 4 people from $108 down to $69 >.> woo! go me! We went into the room and collapsed onto the bed, then sent Gustov, Ashke and Jade out for Chinese food which we sat around on the beds and ate upon their return.
Ashke left and we got ready to go to his bar Try-angles. We had many fruity drinks. Jade and Gustov played pool while trying not to jab people with the pool sticks. I was even able to talk Tomo and Jade into dancing with me for two songs! The only downfall of that night is someone charged $40 worth of shots to our tab >.< we didnt do any shots that night, and we ended up having to pay for it. I cursed whoever did it and drank those drinks with food poisoning.
We walked back to our hotel room and passed out.
Bright and early at 7am the next morning (sunday) we woke up, got ready, had continental breakfast and left for the Pride Parade!
It was raining soooooo much. We had umbrellas thankfully but we still got soaked anyway. After the parade we went to the festival and wandered around there for a bit, and ended up leaving a little earlier than intended because we were so wet and soggy.
